Gum Treatment

Gingivitis is a gum disease that can eventually turn to periodontitis. It causes the gums to become red, swollen, and bleed easily. Gingivitis is often caused by inadequate oral hygiene. Untreated gum diseases may lead to tooth loss.

Scaling and root planning (deep cleaning) is recommended for patients having periodontal disease. If gingivitis is left untreated, it can turn into periodontitis which is a more serious form of gum disease. Over time, it can cause your gums to pull away from your teeth, causing teeth to become loose. If the periodontal disease is treated at an early stage and maintained by meticulous maintenance protocol, it is very easy to prevent the progression of the disease.
